Escazu Development & Nicoya Construction

My Lam is an affordable housing developer and principal of Escazu Development and Nicoya Construction. My Lam spent 5-years as the mastermind behind the city of Boston’s approval for Indigo Block, a master-planned community development project consisting of an 80-unit affordable rental residential project with a 20,000 SF commercial building and 9-unit townhomes for first-time home buyers located adjacent to Uphams Corner commuter rail station in Boston MA. Over the course of five years, My Lam diligently worked towards acquiring the site and establishing strategic partnerships to bring his vision to life.

Nicoya Construction is a self-certified minority business enterprise (MBE) providing professional general contracting and construction management services within the affordable housing sector. In addition, Nicoya Construction plays a pivotal role for MBE subcontractors in the concrete, HVAC, and plumbing subcontract trades. Nicoya invests in these MBE subcontractors to help grow their capacity in order to capture subcontract work in affordable housing projects.  Nicoya partners with the subcontractors by providing services such as cost estimating, project administration & management, financing of supplies and labor, and quality control.

In June 2023, Invictus Real Estate Advisors facilitated the refinanced the $76K car loan for Nicoya Construction.
